THE Premiere Hot Air Balloon Festival in Central Texas
Join us Labor Day Weekend for the premiere hot air balloon festival, right here in Kyle, the Pie Capital of Texas! About 25 beautiful hot air balloons will illuminate the sky on Friday and Saturday evenings and will float over the Kyle sky Saturday and Sunday mornings.
(NOTE: All events are weather permitting. Our Balloonmiester will make the final decision and safety is always our top priority. Weather can include high winds, rain, lightning and other inclement conditions.)
Pie festivities will include a Pie Cafe tent, pie baking contest, pie eating contests, pie vendors (sweet and savory), and more, all of which will solidify our claim to fame as the Pie Capital of Texas. You’ll also be able to enjoy a great live music line-up, an alcohol booth, market vendors of all kinds, a kids play area, and other entertainment to make this festival weekend complete.
Plan your trip to Kyle Pie in the Sky using our Festival Guide, which will be available in July 2019.
New This Year: Festival visitors will be able to receive Event Updates using a free simple text program. Guests who sign up will get instant notifications via text about important information related to the festival. Sign up will begin the day before the festival. Signs will be located near the entrance gate with instructions on how to get the Event Updates.
For information on places to stay while in the Pie Capital of Texas, check out the Visit Kyle page of this website.
We know folks have questions about how the construction on Lehman Rd. will impact the festival. At this time, we are moving forward with the event at that location based on input from the contractor that the festival area will be accessible Labor Day weekend 2019. Should that change, we will communicate the information at the soonest opportunity. Since on-site parking will be limited, we strongly urge festival attendees to utilize the free parking and shuttles or use on-demand ride sharing services. Check our Facebook page or this website for updates.
